The Opportunity

Working at our offices in Gloucester, you’ll be supporting our HR Systems Support Team who bridge the gap between business and technology by providing governance, oversight and support to maximise the value of our HR IT systems. The team investigates and resolves problems, provides information about the systems, monitors systems performance and usage, conducts testing, manages access control and seeks continuous improvement through business and technical liaison and stakeholder management.

During your placement you’ll log, investigate and resolve problems, provide information about the systems, monitor systems performance and seek continuous improvement. You’ll also conduct system testing, work on continuous improvement projects and maintain access control using the agreed company framework and processes.

After you’ve completed your industrial placement, you should know for sure whether you want to be part of the UK’s energy future. If all goes well, we hope to see you back at EDF after university, on one of our graduate programmes.

The Skills

  • Studying towards a business, IT  or related degree 
  • On track to achieve or will have already achieved a 2:1 undergraduate degree or 2:2 postgraduate qualification 
  • Technical and analytical skills 
  • Business acumen 
  • Lots of initiative and good people skills 
  • Desire to learn and develop 
  • Willingness to locate
