Business Operations Analyst
Overview
Efficio is looking for a Business Operations Analyst to provide support to the Project Delivery team. The role of the Business Operations Analyst is critical in helping to develop improved processes for the control, prioritisation and reporting of resource (i.e. people) forecasting and capacity information. The Business Operations Analyst will be a member of the Project Delivery team and will also act as a trusted business partner to both the Finance function and HR Recruitment teams.
You will be responsible for:
- Leading resource tracking and allocation, verifying that resources are allocated appropriately, identifying and resolving obvious gaps and ensuring outputs provide accurate insights (of capacity) to facilitate informed decision-making
- Proactively identifying/monitoring instances of under-utilisation and/or resourcing conflicts
- Developing close, effective working relationships with those responsible for providing input into the resource forecasting and capacity planning processes (using the FinancialForce PSA tool)
- Working closely with the Finance team to ensure resource and capacity forecasting views align with the resource actuals (finance) reports and forecasts
- Delivering required updates/reporting on resource utilisation in a way that is fit-for-purpose and meets the needs of the audience/situation (e.g. reports to be shared with Project Delivery leadership)
- Ensuring resource forecasts, risks and opportunities are accurately captured and highlight with the Project Delivery Team the risks that need to be critically reviewed and challenged
- Utilising the insight gained from analysis to provide recommendations to drive positive change
- Providing support and input into modelling exercises, such as “what if” analysis (i.e. creating different scenarios to find different ways and means of getting to the right end result and solution)
- Identifying, recommending, and championing process enhancement activities to enable continuous improvement (of resource and capacity forecasting/planning)
- Working within the Project Delivery team and engaging Partners, Project Managers and HR to ensure the business has the right level of resources to deliver against Efficio’s requirements and flagging any gaps identified and help to resolve
- Being the point of contact (user support) for the new time-sheeting & resource allocation tool (FinancialForce)
- Assisting the Head of Delivery with the setup and mobilisation of new client facing projects
Essential Requirements
- Background in a quantitative degree e.g. Sciences, Maths, Business, Finance or Economics
- Ability to work effectively, to tight deadlines in a pressured environment
- Solid financial control & acumen
- Highly collaborative working style
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail – interpersonal and presentation skills
- Ability to develop good working relationships with peers and stakeholders within the company (especially senior stakeholders)
- An aptitude for problem solving and a creative thinker
- Good technology skills with excellent knowledge of Microsoft applications, specifically Excel and ability to develop an understanding of Efficio’s ERP technology (FinancialForce and Salesforce)
Desirable Requirements
- Experience of resource planning in a professional services or consulting environment beneficial
