At EGGER, we create more from wood – and we’re looking for a driven and enthusiastic undergraduate to join our Transport Planning team as part of a 12-month industrial placement.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain real-world experience in a fast-paced, dynamic logistics environment within one of Europe’s leading wood-based materials manufacturers.

Your tasks

  • Support the Transport Planning team in the coordination and scheduling of deliveries across the UK and Europe.
  • Assist in route optimisation to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders including suppliers, drivers, and internal teams to ensure seamless operations.
  • Analyse transport data and generate reports to support planning and decision-making.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and sustainability projects within the department.
  • Gain hands-on experience with transport management systems and software (e.g. SAP, Warehouse Management Systems).
  • Prepare clear, concise reports and analysis as required.
  • Attend relevant training courses and internal meetings.
  • Demonstrate a commercial awareness of EGGER’s products, customers, markets, and production processes.

Your profile

  • You have completed a minimum of 2 years of a degree or diploma in Logistics, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of IT literacy, particularly in MS Excel and data analysis.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
  • Confident, proactive, and enthusiastic about learning.
  • Genuine interest in logistics, supply chain, and transport planning.
