The role

We’re looking for an Analyst to join our growing strategy team. The team works across all parts of Emperor’s client offers, bringing together strategic thinkers and industry experts with extensive experience and in-depth knowledge of corporate and sustainability reporting and communications. We use our expertise to advise clients - working closely with them to understand their business challenges, develop impactful solutions that help them stand out from the crowd, and deliver memorable communications that resonate with internal and external audiences. Through collaboration and analysis, we also keep up to date with best practice and share our insights and guidance with clients and colleagues.

Purpose

The role of an Analyst is three-fold:

  1. Research and analysis – You will be a brilliant researcher – able to quickly research and analyse trends, best practice, and competitor strategies, content and communications. Working alongside other team members, you will use your research findings to provide insightful, effective and clearly communicated recommendations for clients.
  2. Monitoring regulatory and best practice developments – You will act as a knowledge manager, keeping abreast of trends and developments in corporate communications, reporting and sustainability to ensure Emperor remains innovative and a market leader. You will review and collate external publications and industry developments, maintain and update our database of best practice examples, and share findings with internal and external audiences. You will also help to inform and write thought leadership publications, ensuring we stay on the pulse of change.
  3. Team and client support - You will work alongside other strategists and wider Emperor teams - including designers and account managers - to deliver on client projects and pitches for reporting, sustainability, digital, employee engagement, and brand projects. This will include supporting with competitor reviews, creating high quality presentations, and crafting compelling communications.

Desirable skills & experience

  • Excellent writing & verbal communications skills
  • Strong analytical skills, able to quickly digest large volumes of information to surface key information and begin to uncover insights
  • Familiar with research & reporting tools, and preferably the use of Excel spreadsheets and formulas
  • Ability to quickly grasp key client information including business model and strategy, products and services offered, and understand issues relating to products, technologies, primary competition and general issues facing the industry
  • Flexibility and the ability to think innovatively and creatively
  • Intelligence to understand, analyse and interpret client strategy with recommendations
  • Demonstrate a high degree of professionalism and thorough understanding of client/ agency relationships
  • Exceptionally detail-oriented and able to successfully manage multiple, concurrent project demands within established timelines
  • Ability to prioritise and respond to requests in a fast-paced environment
  • Work experience in a corporate communications or sustainability role
