Erlang Solutions is seeking an enthusiastic Graduate/Junior Programmer to play a key role within our Technology portfolio making an active contribution in the success of the projects. Using our key technologies Erlang and Elixir, you will help our clients build scalable and reliable solutions.

While the office is based in London, this position will be fully remote.

Solving problems with code is much more than programming - you have to be able to listen to and understand the client so that you can solve the right problems. Wanting to communicate effectively is key to long term success as a consultant. To that end you will be trained in non-technical skills through courses such as “How to be an effective consultant” and “Presenting/compelling communication”.

About you

As a Junior Programmer you will be trained to use Erlang and Elixir effectively by experts, so that you can contribute to the projects we undertake with clients. You will be trained in containerisation so that you can work with the Continuous Integration/Deployment pipelines set up in the projects.

You are curious about how to use programming to solve the problems our clients face. You have an interest in functional programming and want to learn how to support your programs with testing, logging and metrics, Although you will be assigned a mentor to support your progression.

Requirements

You will have a bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or similar related discipline.

  • Minimum 2:1 or above at degree level (or equivalent)
  • Self-motivated, hardworking, and enthusiastic
  • A keen eye for detail
  • An interest in software and technology
  • Willingness to learn
  • Excellent problem-solving skills

Delivering a solution that customers will love is a great challenge. You will learn how to collaborate in an agile project management environment in order to deliver the most business value to our clients.
