Exactmer is a fast-growing Life Sciences business dedicated to producing precision polymeric molecules with our patented Nanostar Sieving Technology. Using this disruptive new platform, we are creating exquisite synthetic and biological polymers, including oligonucleotides and mono-disperse polyethylene glycols (PEGs), ADC linkers, peptides and more…most of them bound for use in medicines that enhance patient quality of life.
London-based, we are in a rapid phase of growth and have opportunities for graduate chemists or chemical engineers to join our team. We are searching for self-starting, dynamic, flexible and committed individuals who are interested in gaining experience and growing their skills in Life Sciences research, development and manufacturing.
About the role
You will be based in the company’s new laboratories in Dagenham-East Business Park. Primary duties will include a variety of lab-based tasks: performing routine laboratory and operational tasks following Exactmer’s Standard Operating Procedures; demonstrating practical and safe working habits; performing general upkeep and housekeeping of the laboratory; placing and receiving orders, along with stock checking; entering information into Excel; contributing to process research and improvement; and prioritising work in accordance with supervisor direction.
As the company is undergoing rapid growth, opportunities may arise to move into other lab-based roles. A degree of flexibility will be required, but the candidate will be expected to be based at our location at the Londoneast-UK business park and work standard office hours.
About you
Candidates will ideally have an undergraduate degree in chemical engineering or chemistry. Some technical/chemical experience (2+ years) would be a plus, and the candidate must be comfortable working around chemicals.
