For Fever-Tree co-founders, Charles Rolls and Tim Warrillow, it all started in a bid to create the perfect gin and tonic. Following a tonic tasting in 2004 they discovered that while there was a growing variety of premium spirits, the majority of tonic waters available were mass produced and used artificial flavourings and sweeteners. Poor quality ingredients and additives such as the sweetener saccharin left a cloying taste and overpowered the subtle aromas of premium spirits.

Determined to revive the nation’s favourite cocktail, the G&T, Charles and Tim embarked on a 15-month journey searching the world for the finest ingredients and perfecting their recipe for Fever-Tree Indian Tonic Water.

Since launching in 2005, Fever-Tree has established itself as the mixer drink specialists, crafting a range of 19 products with a similarly intrepid attitude: going to the ends of the earth, sourcing the highest quality natural ingredients for the best tasting mixers. The business to date has been largely built on Gin & Tonic but over the last 12 months has expanded to target new spirit categories such as Vodka with the launch of their Flavoured Sodas range.

Their award-winning mixers taste clean, subtle and balanced, with authentic flavours and fine carbonation to perfectly enhance the flavour of high quality spirits. After all, if ¾ of your drink is the mixer, mix with the best.

Profile

It is an exciting time to join the business and specifically the Off Trade sales team. With the On Trade shut or under heavy restrictions for the majority of the last 12 months, there has been a big shift to in-home drinking, with consumers experimenting more with their drinks at home. In fact more households bought spirits in 2020 than Wine or Beer, so despite the pubs reopening over the next few weeks there continues to be a lot of excitement around the BWS and Mixers category within retail.

The environment at Fever-Tree is fast paced and requires initiative and proactivity to succeed. As a result, the successful candidate will be part of a young, dynamic and ambitious sales team who are defining how Fever-Tree evolves as a brand as it continues to grow and dominate the premium mixer category.
