At the FCA, we regulate financial services firms in the UK, to keep financial markets fair, thriving and effective. By joining us, you’ll play a key part in protecting consumers, driving economic growth, and shaping the future of UK finance services. We’re looking for graduates to join our diverse and highly capable teams across the FCA.

About the programme

Programme Length: Two years

Programme Type: Rotational

Our People and Change graduate scheme will allow you to build your knowledge and capability across our corporate and operational functions. You will rotate around key business areas such as change, HR, corporate governance and communications. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute to key projects that support the FCA’s people, systems, and strategy.

On your FCA graduate programme, you will develop core skills in Judgment, Engagement, Self-Management and Delivery.  This programme offers a wide range of opportunities across both operational and corporate functions. You could support the delivery of a strategic change initiative that helps us become a smarter regulator or build stakeholder engagement skills through rotations in areas like human resources or change. A placement in cyber and operational resilience could involve exploring ways to strengthen internal systems, enhance organisational resilience, and contribute to more secure and effective operations. Whatever rotation you take on, there’s scope to develop core skills in project management, influencing, and negotiation - capabilities that are valuable across any organisation.

Your first two rotations will be shared with you before you join us, they have been selected to support you in building your skills, knowledge and experience across financial services, setting you up for success in your career with us. Your career goals and interests will be considered when your final rotation is selected, supporting your aspirations, and the FCA’s strategy.

The programme will prepare you for a future in the People & Change profession, where you can work across a number of our divisions: Change, Operations in HR, Digital, Communications and at the end of the programme.

Learning and development

As a graduate on our People and Change Programme, you’ll be able to undertake formal learning aligned to your development goals. This will form part of your ongoing development in the second year of your programme.

Alongside this, you will be part of a development programme with your early careers peers from the day you join.  The programme is designed to empower you and help you excel in a complex and dynamic environment.
