Job Purpose
An experienced Portfolio Analyst to work with the portfolio team and PMO Manager/PMO Lead in developing, owning and operating the Merchant Solutions global Ops Portfolio/PMO function.
What you will be doing
- Assists in daily coordination of various assigned projects and programs
- Develops reports and provides quality assurance to project updates, ensuring that coherent and impactful updates are articulated at all times
- Produces materials required to support project plans including updates to project schedules, issue logging, recording and documenting meeting minutes for distribution to project team members
- Serves as a communication liaison between business stakeholders, project teams, and other FIS functional or department managers to understand all necessary aspects of projects and to ensure all are fully informed of objectives, purposes and progress
- Tracks project progress and assists in identifying and resolving obstacles
- Ensure projects remain compliant with company and functional policy regarding change governance
- Assists in ensuring projects remain on schedule and within time and cost constraints
- May work with others to identify and categorize project risks and issues related to cost/estimates, schedule, quality and employee retention
- Provides timely project or sub-plan deliverables that align with project or program plan structure and provides timely status updates to stakeholders highlighting potential issues/problems
- Performs administrative tasks such as arranging meetings and/or conference calls, developing agendas, answering routine questions, preparing correspondence and progress reports and participating in event coordination
- Anticipates needs of project, program and PMO management and makes independent decisions and takes action to meet those needs
- Furnishes and obtains information from project management and representatives from operational functions
- Maintain project libraries, ensuring all documentation is complete and current
- Co-ordinate and facilitate the initial impact assessment of new project demand across many functions
- Other related duties assigned as needed
What you will need
Essential
- Relevant degree or experience in a similar role
- Someone that is passionate about getting into project management
Bonus
- Experience of implementing or using Portfolio Management software would be an advantage
- Experience of working with multiple change delivery methodologies
- Experience of working with portfolio planning tools
- Experience of working on large and complex transformation projects
- Experience of the End to end project lifecycle and working to corporate standards
