Role Summary

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our Graduate Mortgage Advice programme as a Trainee Mortgage Adviser. You will commence your employment on our in-house training programme to gain and develop your knowledge and skills in the role, going on to become a fully qualified Mortgage Adviser.

The ideal candidate will have a savvy head for business, plus a real interest in building relationship and a curious and eager approach to quick learning. The right person will be a committed team player, with a strong work ethic and drive to contribute to the business.

This list is not exhaustive, and the incumbent would be required to follow any reasonable management request to do additional duties and tasks.

Hours

40 per week – shift based.

Monday 9am-8pm, Tuesday Wednesday Thursday 9am-5:30pm OR 12pm-8pm, Friday 9am-5pm.

One Saturday in every 4 weeks 9.30am - 2.30pm.

Role Requirements

Essential

  • Ability to respond quickly to training and adapt to changes within the industry 
  • Confident and driven individual wanting to develop and progress in their career
  • Able to work to and carry out processes in a compliant manner
  • Able to carry out processes in a compliant manner
  • Able to work towards tight deadlines in a busy and fast paced environment
  • Strong IT skills including the use of the full Microsoft package
  • Experience of working successfully in a team and also individually

Desirable

  • Knowledge of secured finance or mortgage advising
  • Knowledge of broking/lending in the mortgage market
  • Knowledge of broking/lending in the second charge market
  • Knowledge of lending in the unsecured loan market
