Are you ready to build a career with purpose?  Now’s your chance to explore a rewarding career with a difference, working with clients in exciting industries – like aviation, technology, construction and engineering. We are looking for bright sparks to join our tax associate programme in January 2022.

We’re ForrestBrown, a firm of chartered tax advisers specialising in research and development (R&D) tax. Our expert team has substantial sector experience and tax technical knowledge which, combined with our passion for our clients and entrepreneurial spirit, helps us deliver outstanding results for a wide portfolio of innovative clients. Established in 2013, we have offices in both Bristol and London and are proud to be leading the R&D tax relief market in the UK.

As a tax associate, you will join a fast-paced team focused on delivering outstanding R&D tax credit advice. Every day will be different. Whether you’re preparing important documents to help build robust R&D tax credit claims, or working with clients to understand in-depth information about their innovative projects in science, engineering, manufacturing or technology, you’ll have early access to clients.

As a tax associate at ForrestBrown you’ll have real responsibility from the start. But you won’t do it alone. We’re an encouraging bunch and want you to do well. We have our own dedicated ‘Learning Lab’ which allows R&D tax trainees to develop specialist knowledge, and we will support you to complete your Level 7 professional qualifications, including CTA – the gold standard in tax. Our trainees have days off to attend college and we’ll even help you with mock exam papers. What’s more, with an intake of a small group of associates, you’ll join together and support one another throughout your time here.

For our associate programme, we’re looking for ambitious individuals with a degree and ideally some experience gained in a professional working environment. That’s not to say you should come from a tax background though. We welcome all kinds of qualities and experiences – you might be a scientist, engineer, teacher or software developer looking for an alternative career, you could be a graduate with a year in industry or other work experience gained around your studies looking for a specialist tax role, or a finance professional ready for a new challenge. All we look for is a passion for innovation, a strong work ethic and desire to work in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to undertaking further professional qualifications. If you’ve also got a keen eye for detail and are excited by working as a team, then you could be our perfect match.
