Our electronics and embedded software engineers are based in our Bristol, Burton, Glasgow and Dorking offices, as well as supporting clients at their sites. Our engineers apply their technical skills to tackle problems on behalf of our clients; to take a systems view to understand their needs and consult and deliver sustainable and safe solutions that truly add value.

We pride ourselves at Frazer-Nash in supporting our Early Careers Engineers to utilise and develop their technical skills working as part of project teams under the coaching and mentorship of experienced Electronics and Embedded Control specialists. Within our IET accredited Professional Development Scheme, we will work with you, tailoring your project tasking, along with technical, project management and consultative training with the goal of getting you in a position to attain Chartered Engineer status during the first 5 years of your career.

What you’ll be doing at Frazer-Nash

We'll teach you to hone your problem-solving skills and work with clients from a huge range of industries, all from day one. You’ll expand your experience, potential and curiosity at the same time.

Our projects are varied both in scale and industry sector. We typically have a diverse portfolio of projects ranging from designing prototype electronics / Internet of Things (IoT) devices, developing Hardware in the Loop (HiL) test environments for the assurance of safety critical functions, through to developing large-scale control systems for some of the most complex and high-profile engineering projects in the UK today. This diversity and the growth of our electronics capability provides a wealth of opportunities for career development and progression within our team.

What you’ll need?

  • A projected minimum 2:1 grade in an institution accredited degree in either Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or General Engineering (Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD with evidence of undergraduate intern experience).
  • Industry or relevant experience in embedded software development.
  • Industry or relevant experience in analogue and digital electronics.
  • Good communication and openness to learn and develop your technical and consulting skills.
  • Tenacity and determination to achieve an outcome and then build on it

Due to the nature of the work that Frazer-­Nash Consultancy undertake, candidates will be required to undergo pre-employment screening and must be able to satisfy clearance criteria for UK National Security Vetting.
