What will you be doing?

In your new role, you will be the first point of contact for recruitment as well as supporting the HR team. Working closely with the HR team with support relating to the recruitment process, in a busy, fast-paced working environment. This role would be perfect for the right person who has a passion and drive to get into the HR profession.

HR 

You will provide admin and general support to the HR team in the day to day, maintaining the HR inbox, including dealing with queries that come through and escalating any ER cases to Head of HR. Assisting with screening process including right to work checks, reference requests and other checks as required. You will undertake projects as and when required, to support the needs of the business and to achieve department objectives.

Recruitment 

  • To be responsible for the production of job adverts, both internal and external, as well as the advertising of these through social media, company website, agencies, or other sources
  • To administer all job descriptions and person specifications in liaison with hiring managers, offering advice and practical assistance, ensuring that they are compliant with employment legislation 
  • Ensuring that all recruitment activities carried out are compliant with GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018, Equal opportunities Act 2010, and all other associated employment legislation 
  • Headhunting - identifying and approaching suitable candidates via external sources, using direct recruitment tactics whilst being mindful of budget 
  • To review CV’s and applications to ensure the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) is up to date 
  • Supporting with initial telephone screening, where required, including an overview of CV and briefing the candidate, about the role responsibilities, salary, benefits, and location, to ensure suitability   
  • To keep track of the interview process for all roles, liaising with hiring managers and providing Senior Management with a weekly recruitment update 
  • To act as an intermediary between the hiring manager and HR department to: ​
    • Ensure the relevant approval is obtained prior to any offer of employment being made 
    • Agreeing salary, benefits and working conditions etc.
  • Reviewing recruitment policies to ensure effectiveness of selection techniques and recruitment programs, and make suggestions for improvement where necessary
  • Obtain candidate feedback and monitor and report on analytics for continuous improvement 
  • To records and monitor all recruitment costs to ensure the relevant budgets are maintained, providing monthly reports to management 
  • To maintain effective working relationships with external clients to ensure quality and value  ​
    • To manage the PSL and make suggestions for improvement where necessary 
    • To liaise with recruitment agencies to obtain market insight on salaries, packages and working environments 

What do you need?

Within in this role, organisation and co-ordination is key. You will be expected to manage your workload, prioritising tasks where necessary, maintaining optimum efficiency at all times. We are looking for someone with good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, Word and Excel, they must also be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing across a wide range of audiences.
