We are currently seeking graduate-level interns to join our Europe, Middle East, and Africa healthcare research team. This role is ideally located in London, but we will also consider candidates working remotely. While background in healthcare is helpful, the most important attribute we look for for this role is strong research skills and knowledge about the MENA region. Candidates with broader macroeconomic and regional political backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Job Description & Key Responsibilities

The intern will support members of the EMEA healthcare research team with background research on healthcare policy trends, reimbursement trends, government budget analysis, as well as news monitoring and analysis related to healthcare systems across the Middle East, with a special focus on Egypt, Algeria, UAE, and Saudi Arabia. This research will feed into our written analysis and client presentations prepared for senior leaders at large healthcare multinationals with a presence across the MENA region.

Day-to-day responsibilities include, but are not limited to

  • Conducting secondary research and news monitoring and analysis
  • Analyzing the business implications of trends and developments across MENA healthcare systems
  • Writing research deliverables that are concise and impactful for a senior executive reader 

To further the intern’s development, we will

  • Expose interns to different facets of emerging markets research on a regional and industry-specific basis
  • Provide a stimulating and collaborative work environment
  • Develop interns’ research and analytical skills
  • Provide interns with exposure to multinationals’ operations by shadowing client calls and presentations
  • Provide constructive feedback and coaching to ensure skill development

Qualifications & Experience

The successful candidate will possess

  • A Bachelor's or preferably enrolled in a Master’s degree program from a top-tier academic institution; candidates with degrees in regional studies, economics, or international relations are particularly encouraged to apply
  • Strong research skills
  • Proficiency in Arabic – need to be able to read and understand policy documents, budgets, and other complex written materials in Arabic
  • Solid writing and analytical skills
  • Interest or personal experience in any part of the EMEA region
  • Healthcare background is a plus, but not required
