GE Energy Financial Services (EFS), the energy investment arm of GE Capital, is recruiting Summer Analysts for a 10-week internship. The ideal candidate is a highly-motivated individual interested in the energy sector.

The role

Opportunities in capital advisory/portfolio management and investment underwriting exist in the Renewables, and Power sectors. These teams provide and manage financial solutions for our Industrial businesses. Summer analysts will be exposed to financial modeling, deal documentation, asset acquisitions/sales, and regulatory compliance. 

Essential responsibilities

  • Analyze and/or develop financial models and projections
  • Conduct industry/company research and analysis
  • Perform asset valuation analysis
  • Assist in preparation of credit requests and other deal specific documentation
  • Maintain deal management information systems that are leveraged for the preparation of internal reports
  • Independently develop and execute projects aimed at improving business processes
  •  Review operating and financial results of project companies
  • Assist in the underwriting of new transactions, as well as asset management and syndication
  • Assist the team with running a competitive process to select most appropriate financial institution to support a specific transaction
  • Support the completion and submission of applications of cover into Export Credit Agencies, Development Institutions, Insurance companies etc.
  • Support all aspects of ongoing servicing activities and serve as primary point of contact for commercial financing transactions according to detailed requirements and operational procedures.
  • Handle projects to ensure administrative compliance with deal terms and establish, implement, and monitor reporting metrics for Operations.
  • Possess good understanding of procedures and concepts within own subject area.
  • Possess good understanding of how the team integrates with other teams in accomplishing the objective 

About you

Experience

  • Anticipated graduation in Summer 2022 or 2023 from a bachelor’s program
  • Your degree will be focussed around Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Economics or related
  • You must have had experience and be proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
