As part of GSK’s ongoing commitment to Inclusion and Diversity, GSK Legal is offering up to 16 aspiring lawyers the opportunity to engage in a virtual one-week internship, to gain an insight into the work of our in-house solicitors and intellectual property specialists. Expect to get involved in theoretical legal research projects, case studies and receive interactive presentations from our in-house team and the law firms that we work with

Who?

We are inviting applications from bright university undergraduates and recent graduates, of any discipline, including those who are ethnically diverse or have a disability, are socially disadvantaged, and interested in pursuing a career in law. Applicants must be UK residents.

Where?

Virtually. You will need access to your own video and Microsoft Teams enabled computer or laptop, and a quiet space to join interactive online sessions. You must be selfsufficient in the use of MS Teams.

When?

18th to 25th June 2021. This includes an introductory day on Friday 18th June followed by a further full week’s internship. You will have no fixed hours of work, but we hope that you will be able to attend this voluntary internship from 9 am to 5.30 pm each day, to maximise the experience you gain.

How?

Email your CV to Legal.Summer-Intern@gsk.com, together with a covering letter explaining how you can use this opportunity to support your career within the legal sector; and why you should be selected for the GSK Legal Inclusion and Diversity Internship, based on the criteria stated above. Applications will be accepted via email until 22nd March 2021. Applications received after this time will not be considered. Only applications that meet the brief will be progressed. Video interviews may be requested. Successful applicants will be notified by week ending 21 May. You will not be providing any work or services to GSK and this is a voluntary unpaid internship with the aim solely of giving you an insight into the work of our in-house solicitors and intellectual property specialists.
