As a Graduate Quantity Surveyor you will have unlimited access to our experts, all of whom have years of experience in their respective fields. Our Graduate Programme will provide you with on-the-job learning, mentorship, professional reviews, a dedicated development team and all the tools and support needed to be successful in your career!

You will be fully supported on your path to becoming fully-accredited – we cover the costs, help with the paperwork, and make sure it is as easy as possible for you to achieve your goals.

As a Graduate you will

Assist in all cost and procurement management processes, with a view to successfully completing the Gleeds’ internal APC preparation programme; and self-development training in readiness for attaining Chartered status Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Contribute to a high quality of service and deliverables.
  • Assist Cost Managers in the accurate and timely delivery of services.
  • Assist in Cost Managers the preparation of:
    • Order of cost estimates and option studies.
    • Cost plans.
    • Cost-in-use studies.
    • Tender documentation and managing the tender process. including designing tender marking schemes
    Assist Cost Managers with the:
    • Evaluation and reporting of tenders.
    • Valuation of completed work and arranging for payments.
    • Preparation and settlement of final accounts.
    • Administration of construction contracts.
    • Preparation of reports to customers.

About You

What you will need:

  • You would have graduated or will be receiving your degree qualification before August 2025
  • You will have the right to live and work in the UK.
  • Clear and effective communication skills - both oral and written.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to quickly adapt to changes.
  • Good ICT skills, with an elevated level of ability in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Lively and enthusiastic, but conscientious and precise.
  • Outgoing and people-orientated, with a strong ability to work as part of a team.
  • At Gleeds we accept Graduates with all types of degrees classifications, so even if you do not have a degree within the Built Environment, we still would love for you to apply. The only thing we ask is that you have the passion and want to pursue a Graduate role and career within the discipline you have applied for at Gleeds.
