About the role
We are looking to employ an enthusiastic and driven HR and Recruitment intern to assist our Talent Acquisition team with administrative and HR-related tasks. The intern’s responsibilities will include producing offer letters and contracts, initiating and monitoring background checks on successful candidates, interview scheduling and assisting the Recruitment Manager with UK Recruitment.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to pursue a career within HR or Talent Acquisition. The position will be hybrid-based, with 2 to 3 days based in our Syston office (LE7 1PL) and the rest working from home, Monday to Friday either 8-4 or 9-5. You will be paid £350 per week for a total of 11 weeks. We are looking for the successful candidate to start in June.
- Administration of proposals which include contracts and offer letters
- Follow up probation period reports through obtaining confirmation from their managers
- Submit successful candidates to the background check portal and monitor them throughout the onboarding process
- Update and ensure all compliance related documents are intact and up to date
- Screen potential employees' resumes and application forms to identify suitable candidates to fill company job vacancies
- Organise interviews with shortlisted candidates
- Post and remove job advertisements from job boards and social media platforms
- Coordinating new hire orientations
- Responding to staff inquiries regarding HR policies, employee benefits, and other HR-related matters
About you
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management or studying towards a HR degree or related field
- Ability to work in a fast paced working environment with a highly organised approach and attention to detail
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent administrative and organizational skills
- Effective communication skills
