A look into the role
Henderson Wholesale Information Services (IS) Department currently employs over 45 Technical IT Specialists covering the areas of Software Development, Project Management, Network Infrastructure, and Application and Technical Support.
We are responsible for the software development and support of over 70 in-house and third-party systems which ensures the successful operation of our Wholesale business. As such we are looking to recruit an Application Developer to help support both the IS Development Manager and the wider IT Teams in the delivery of our Strategic Project Roadmap.
Core technologies
Our Technology stack is always growing and changing, but here's a selection of what we currently use in some of our applications:
Progress Open Edge, JavaScript, MS SQL Server, Web APIs, Serverless Lambdas, Spring boot, AWS, Azure, Git, Linux, Node JS, QlikView.
This position will be well suited to a candidate who is focused on continuous learning and who is passionate about what they do.
As Junior Analyst Developer you will:
- Analyse, design, develop, implement and test software solutions.
- Be focused on the needs of our Internal Customers and offer innovative, high-quality solutions that deliver genuine value.
- Play a role in the design and development of Systems and integrate third party software solutions.
Skills for success
Joining us as Junior Analyst Developer, the minimum criteria you’ll need is:
- At least 1 years’ experience in Software Development or Software Support role (may include degree placement year experience).
- Experience of relational database management systems.
- Knowledge of SDLC process and methodologies.

This is a full-time position working 36.5 hours per week. Working hours will be 8:45am-4:45pm Monday to Thursday and 8:45am-3:45pm Friday.
