About the role

As the market demands expand, we are increasing our focus on the key market players who are the forefront of progress.  Our goal is to be the trusted partner of choice.  To meeting this demand, our teams are expanding and as such an exciting new role has arisen.

As a Business Development and Strategy Analyst your key objectives to support the sustainable and profitable business growth across a range of regional and Global and Regional Key Accounts in the Industrial Adhesives Business.

This one-year programme is designed to develop knowledge, skills and expertise across a wide range of Sales, Business Development, Marketing, Business / Operations Analysis and Sales Support.  The program will include working closely with the Business Directors, Global & Regional Key Account Managers, Marketing & Customer Activation, Application Engineering, Business Strategy & PMO Teams.

What you'll do 

  • Support delivery of the growth targets across both the regional and global account portfolio
  • Exceed expectations whilst ensuring we outperform the market by delivering over-proportional customer growth
  • Assisting team by developing and delivering sales tools (presentations, promotional collateral, sample packs etc)
  • Provide in-depth analysis and interpretation of business management and development tools:
    • ACE – Adhesives Customer Engagements (CRM)
    • BDS – Business Development System (Tool to manage Roadmapped opportunities to pursue)
    • ADP – Adhesives Development Process (Tool to manage new product development)
  • Drive product costing and pricing analysis initiatives to ensure we deliver the best value to our customers
  • Conduct market research projects (customer scouting / evaluation / contacts), and present recommendations to team
  • Engage in Social Selling activities to continue to promote and elevate the cluster to trusted advisor status
  • Dimension impact of circular relationship with our customers (total spend / vend across Adhesive & Consumer Businesses)
  • Interface between business and partner Universities / Consortia.
  • Attend customer meetings / conferences / trade shows / etc (where pertinent)
  • Connect with global Intern team across P&IA Globally (Germany & USA)

Your skills

  • Degree Educated (or equivalent), ideally combined honours within IT, Marketing, Business Administration (etc)
  • Commercial and financial awareness
  • Full clean valid Driving Licence & Passport
  • Proactive, passionate, keen to learn, team player
  • Good intercultural sensitivity with an above average EQ
  • Excellent communication skills – able to communicate ideas concisely and confidently
  • Analytical problem solver with high attention to detail
  • Personal initiative, with the ability to take on a high level of autonomy
  • A strategic thinker with capability to be able to collate, consolidate and conclude from a high degree of data sources
  • Exceptional IT skills (especially PowerPoint and Excel)
  • German language would be an advantage, but not needed
