Experiencing life at a law firm during your first year of study opens up a world of opportunities. You’ll discover what it’s like to be a lawyer, the work we do, how we do it and how we think. It’s a great way to learn if a career in law is right for you and it will give you the tools to make a successful application for a vacation scheme later on.

What will I be doing?

Our two-day virtual workshop on the 12 - 13 April 20201 is designed to give students who are in their first year or in their second year of a four-year undergraduate degree, an early insight into a career at an international law firm. The two days will feature case studies, workshops, an opportunity to experience the kind of work we do, as well as tips on how to apply for a vacation scheme in the future.

What we look for

You don’t need to study law to attend. In fact, we welcome students from a wide range of academic backgrounds. We’re looking for people with motivation for a career in law, strong academics and individuals with the potential to become exceptional lawyers.

Key dates

  • Workshop date: 12 – 13 April 2021
  • Apply between: 1 – 31 January 2021 (open to first-year students and second-year students on a four-year course)

To apply, you’ll need to complete our online application form and blended online assessment. You don’t need to interview for a place on the workshop. If you’re offered a place on one of the workshops and decide to apply for a vacation scheme, you won’t need to retake the online assessment and we’ll fast track your application to review stage.
