Hill Group Ltd are looking for a highly motivated Investment Analyst to support our Build-to-Rent (BtR) and commercial portfolio. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to future acquisitions, investment strategy, and asset management within a dynamic and growing company.

Key responsibilities

Underwriting & Financial Analysis:

  • Conduct in-depth market research, assessing rental trends, transaction comparables, and key location attributes.
  • Develop and review financial models, ensuring robust analysis of rents, construction costs, operating expenses, and investment returns.
  • Evaluate BtR disposal strategies, including forward-funding, joint ventures, and direct sales.
  • Conduct sensitivity analyses to support strategic decision-making.

Deal management transaction support

  • Assist the BtR and Commercial Asset Manager in managing the disposal process.
  • Coordinate legal, financial, tax, and technical due diligence with internal teams and external advisors.
  • Monitor key transaction terms to ensure seamless delivery and execution.

Commercial sales lettings

  • Provide strategic advice on the commercial aspects of development schemes.
  • Support leasing efforts by managing agents and securing tenants that align with the project’s commercial vision.
  • Oversee commercial sales, ensuring maximum investment value and efficient execution of transactions.

Investor stakeholder engagement

  • Assist in capital-raising activities through detailed financial analysis and investor presentations.
  • Prepare marketing materials, board reports, and investment summaries for joint venture partners.
  • Build and maintain relationships with tenants, agents, investors, and other key stakeholders.

What we’re looking for

  • Educational Background: Degree-qualified, ideally in real estate, finance, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: Some background in real estate investment, preferably within the living sectors.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to create clear, structured reports and financial models.
  • Financial Expertise: Proficiency in financial modelling, investment appraisal, and sensitivity analysis.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple transactions, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively with internal and external teams.
  • Presentation & Attention to Detail: Strong communication and negotiation skills, with a keen eye for detail.
