The internship
During your internship, you’ll spend time your time with us in the London Schemes team, formed of Account Managers, Underwriters and Analysts.
As a market leading insurer in the London region, we have significant ambitions and growth targets. You will have the opportunity to work on a number of important and innovative projects that will drive growth across a number of interesting areas, which will help build your knowledge of how an insurance business and the industry operates. This may include completing market analysis, identifying potential new partners, business planning, researching sector trends and producing valuable insights which we will use to drive Sales and Underwriting activity. This work will make a real difference to the Hiscox UK business.
You will work in conjunction with our Sales and Underwriting teams in London and across the UK, as well as our leading brokers and partners. This internship will give you a real insight into the workings of an insurance business and you’ll get great exposure to leaders and experts across the Hiscox UK business. You’ll be part of a passionate team on an ambitious journey, in an innovative cutting-edge area of our industry.
As a business, we have adopted hybrid working, where we have a combination of time in the office and at home. In this role you can expect to be in the office approx. 2 days per week.

What are the requirements?
Our internships are open to current students in their penultimate year who are planning to return to undergraduate or postgraduate studies following their time with us. In other words, if you are due to graduate from an Undergraduate or Master’s degree in 2023, we want to hear from you.
You’ll be on course for at least a 2:1 degree (or equivalent).
As well as being able to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, you’ll be good with numbers and able to speak and write fluently in business English.
You must, by the start of the employment, have permission to work in the UK.
The Internship takes place from 4th July to 26th August 2022.
