If you’re in the first year of your studies but still keen to start your journey into law, we’ve got multiple programmes to help you learn about what we do and start building your network.

Insight schemes

We run two insight schemes over the summer, and each is packed with legal case studies, interactive workshops, presentations, and networking opportunities.

You'll come away with a clear picture of our culture and values, as well as a good understanding of the day-to-day work of a trainee. It’s an ideal opportunity to ask us any questions, soak up application advice for a vacation scheme or training contract, get to grips with the assessment day process, and start growing your personal network. You’ll grow your understanding of exactly what we do and where we’re heading, and learn some practical tips on how to gain commercial awareness. No matter if you’re a law or non-law student, these insight schemes will show you how we are defined by difference.

Campus Ambassadors

Our campus ambassadors make an impact in lots of ways: hosting drop-in sessions, giving lecture shout-outs, promoting us on social media through your university networks. You’ll essentially represent us at your university – be that virtually or face to face.

As you shed light on our opportunities for fellow students, you’ll also be creating opportunities for yourself. You’ll have constant communication with our graduate recruitment team, giving you the chance to show us your personality and skills.

We hold assessment days during the spring of your first year so you're ready to start promoting us in your second year.

What we offer

  • £600 plus all the training and support you need
  • Get fast-tracked to a vacation scheme assessment day
  • The chance to gain a better understanding of how a global law firm works
  • Great networking opportunities with our teams
  • Boost your skills in communication, leadership and problem solving – all things we look for in our future lawyers.
