Our Capital Markets Group is one of the firm’s fastest growing practices. We offer access to financing in the public and alternative capital markets through the issuance of debt, equity, or hybrid securities. In Europe, the team is a rapidly growing team, advising clients on the origination, structuring, and execution of private and public debt financings across numerous industries. Over the past several years the Europe-based team advised on financing transactions totalling c.€11 billion of commitments.

Private Funds

Our Private Funds Group provides strategic advisory and placement agency services to alternative investment managers globally. The team brings together extensive fundraising and in-house operating experience. Through this unique combination, we seek to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of the fundraising process for general partners and provide tailored advice on the development and implementation of strategic initiatives designed to improve market positioning, investor relationships, and fundraising effectiveness over the longer term.

Scope

Graduate Financial Analysts may work on transactions that provide exposure to a broad range of client industries and investment banking services. You will work with a talented, dedicated staff of professionals who will give you broad exposure to the many different issues and concerns affecting companies and investors today.

You will research and analyse financial statements, general economic conditions, industry-specific developments, acquisitions and divestitures, and investment attributes of publicly traded and private companies. You will also gain intimate knowledge of capital raisings and financing structures.

Requirements / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following:-

  • Undergraduate degree with a minimum 2:1 pass grade from a highly regarded university;
  • Some knowledge of or exposure to the financial services industry, either via relevant internships, academic coursework, or demonstrable industry knowledge;
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail; An understanding of valuation theory, methodologies and applications
  • Proficient use of Excel and PowerPoint;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Strong interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to operate independently but also work in a team with all levels of staff
  • Pro-active and performance-driven
