Job Description

We are recruiting a graduate to support the Raw Materials Category. This is an exciting opportunity where you will be managing and negotiating spend for this category. You will be required to deliver innovation from the supply base, reduce costs where possible and learn how to develop and manage contracts. The successful candidate will have a strong interest in developing a career within Procurement and demonstrate natural commercial awareness.

Responsibilities

  • Work on developing a procurement strategy for a category of spend
  • Negotiate and award contracts
  • Develop THG’s supply base
  • Manage existing contracts maximising value
  • Be able to communicate cross-functionally (legal, engineering, projects, finance etc)
  • Support best Procurement Practice to be embedded throughout the business
  • Managing set up of suppliers and working with Quality Assurance team to faciltate approval process
  • Work with NPD Team and support with Procurement requirements for NPD projects across Nutrition division
  • Working closely with our supply chain and freight teams to ensure stock availability remains high. This will involve problem solving and identifying solutions. Support of the supply chain will be required on a global level across all THG manufacturing sites"

Requirements

To be considered for this role you should have the following skills / qualifications:

  • Degree qualified
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills,
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Commercial awareness plus capable of making recommendations
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office to a high standard, particularly Excel.

If you have supply chain / operations experience this would be an advantage
