High Voltage Partial Discharge Ltd (HVPD) are industry leading experts in the market of On-Line Partial Discharge (PD) test and monitoring technology for complete medium and high voltage power networks. We design and build a range of electrical condition monitoring technology and provide solutions to a diverse range of markets including; Oil & Gas, T&D, LNG, Heavy Industry, Data Centres etc. across a pan-global client base.

The primary purpose of this position is to evaluate technical requirements for new projects and provide technical input and scope for proposals.

Role and Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include

  • Interpret specifications and requirements documents.
  • Preparing equipment scope of works.
  • Preparing technical proposals.
  • Understanding marketplace for condition monitoring products.
  • Ability to use the company’s PD test and monitoring equipment.
  • Writing in-house documentation.
  • Sourcing bespoke and third-party components.
  • Contributing to new product development requirements.
  • Liaising with commercial and technical teams.
  • Training – Full training on our products and services will be provided. The position will offer the successful candidate significant career progression through hands on training

Essential Requirements

  • Degree in Electronic or Electrical Engineering (and/ or other relevant Engineering discipline / experience).
  • Knowledgeable in the area of High Voltage.
  • Knowledgeable of test instrumentation: Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analysers.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge and practice of safety precautions related to working with electrical and electronic equipment.
  • Good computer skills, including documentation and report writing.
  • Ability to use advanced features of Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent organisation and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritise and plan effectively.
  • Knowledge of Engineering Design principles.
  • The ability to work as part of a team.
  • The ability to meet deadlines.
  • A keen understanding of the company’s and competitor’s products and services.
