Added to your calendar
Type:
Internship
Locations:
Hampshire
Sectors:
Consulting, Technology: Consulting & Project Management
Deadline:
1st August 2018

As a business student, Extreme Blue will give you the opportunity to run your very own micro-business within IBM. You’ll take new technologies and will tailor these to meet the demands of IBM and its clients and develop a real business offering…. all in 12 weeks! Remember, there is only one Business student per team so your role in the process will mainly involve project management. You’ll be responsible for keeping the team working to schedule and ensuring that objectives and targets are being met. Maybe more importantly though you’ll also liaise with our clients - both internally to IBM and externally, to determine what features are required by potential customers for the product you are working on to ensure that as a team you are developing a solution that meets the clients’ needs and that at the end of the 12 weeks you have a product that customers will be excited about. So, you’ll have lots of responsibility but think of it as a fantastic and unique opportunity to really show us what you can do.

What we look for:

  • You’ll need to be at a UK University and on target for at least a 2:1 honours degree.
  • You must also be in your penultimate year of study and be authorised to work in the UK for the whole placement too.
  • You need to be studying for a business related degree and to have excellent leadership, communication, planning and teamwork skills.

The Extreme Blue Summer Internship runs between mid-June to early September 2018.
