About Consilium – Every number tells a story
Accountants understand numbers, but not every accountant takes the time to understand the stories these numbers tell. Here at Consilium, we take that time to listen and make sure the numbers tell the best possible story for our clients’ businesses.
Consilium Chartered Accountants was established by partners who identified the opportunity to develop an independent Scottish accounting firm focusing on meeting the needs of Scottish businesses. We are passionate about what we do and excited about the future opportunities available to us, our staff and our clients. Our clients are all owner managed businesses and the owners themselves. Over the last 10 years we have grown to become a firm of 60 partners and staff. We have experienced professionals with expertise in a range of specialist areas including audit, tax compliance and advisory, business services and corporate finance. We work as a team, understanding our clients’ needs and providing a service tailored to each client’s requirements.
We have a simple vision – to help our clients and our team achieve success. Through the provision of our client focused solutions we build long term relationships to enable us to support SME business leaders in reaching their goals. To enable our team to do this we will provide a challenging and supportive environment in which they can excel.
We are very proud of our culture and want to continue to work with staff at all levels that appreciate and understand our core values. Our culture is central in helping us achieve our vision and meet our purpose. Our culture is underpinned by the mantra ‘Be Consilium’.
To Be Consilium we live by our values –
Advice – we plan, we advise, we counsel, we exercise our judgement and share our wisdom.
Integrity – we act with honesty and openness and take responsibility for our actions. If we make a mistake, we correct it and learn from it.
Teamwork – we do it together and are inclusive. We respect, trust and support each other, and we celebrate together. We encourage, we challenge, we teach. We do all of this so that we can fulfil our potential and succeed together.
