Division summary
The Global Markets division of ICBCS offers sales, structuring and trading expertise to our clients across a range of products, with particular strengths in Emerging Markets. The Global Markets division comprises of two core businesses, namely Commodities and Fixed Income and Currencies (FIC).
The Commodities business provides trading, sales, working capital solutions and structuring expertise through its Metals and Energy teams. The division's expertise extends to the management and financing of physical commodity inventories across these asset classes.
The FIC business offers a comprehensive set of foreign exchange, interest rates, credit, money markets, capital markets and structured financing products.
Our clients include financial institutions, corporations, governments and institutional investors around the world.
Metals team
ICBC Standard Bank is a leader in providing commodity financing and trading services to a global client base. We are large trader of physical metals, and execute both OTC and exchange traded derivatives from offices in London, Singapore, Shanghai and New York. We offer our clients a range structured financing, trading and risk management solutions.
This will be a front office role, reporting to the Precious Metals desk in London. The role will be focused on assisting the Precious Metals Sales and Traders and will encompass:
- Data analysis for Precious Metals Sales and Trading
- Assisting the desk in preparation for client meetings and calls
- Technology and tools learning and utilising trading, sales tools used by the desk
- Supporting the Precious Metals Sales and Trading team, and learning about the business, working closely with a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment
- Analysis and support to ICBC Standard Bank's Precious Metals business, to assist with business planning, and new product and new client initiatives.
- Insight into short term or temporary commodity market dislocations
- Sector and client-specific reviews and recommendations
- Marketing chart packs, internal and external presentations
