Job description

A placement year for those mid-study providing:

  • Exposure to a range of global events functions and processes
  • Ownership of specific project(s) within the global events team that will benefit IFS and you
  • Contribute to global lead and pipeline generation
  • Space to use own initiative, identify opportunities to innovate and improve, propose new ideas.

Summary

The position is based within the global events team—but you will also work with our campaigns, social media, PR, digital, brand, analytics and regional marketing teams to gain an all-round understanding of how an innovative, fast-moving marketing organization works.

Essential duties and accountability

The candidate will work on a variety of programs with the opportunity to learn more about corporate events and gain hands-on experience in marketing software solutions. Experience will include the following types of work and projects:

  •  Delegate and sponsor management
  • Venue sourcing
  • Content creation & AV
  • Project management and planning processes

Overall required competence

  • Confident, outgoing personality that can integrate with a busy team environment
  • Solid written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation communication skills in English
  • Self-starter with a strong ability to prioritize, perform and deliver to a deadline
  • Creative, hard-working and punctual
  • Ability to demonstrate marketing ideas via a personable, consultative approach, working across all levels in the organization

Qualifications

Essential requirements

  • Degree studies in events management or marketing, business studies or technology and taken events module(s) where offered
  • You will be competent in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint; training will be provided for other tools and systems that you will use during your time with us.
