The College is looking to recruit graduates to join its Graduate Finance Trainee Scheme in 2022. The Graduate Finance Trainee Scheme is a three-year programme designed to provide the candidates with extensive finance experience and the opportunity to gain a professional accountancy qualification.

The Scheme consists of two different streams and candidates can decide which one they want to pursue when applying:

  1. General Finance stream (studying towards CIMA)
  2. Financial accounting stream (studying towards ACA with ICAEW)

The ideal candidates will be bright, personable, self-starters with the drive to deliver excellence in Finance and support the College in achieving its academic mission.

Duties and responsibilities

Graduate Finance Trainees can expect to gain both operational and project experience during their Traineeship. It is intended that during the course of the training scheme all trainees will develop the skills and experience necessary to apply for a permanent position at Imperial.

Trainees on the General Finance stream will be expected to complete their study for the CIMA qualification during their three years on the scheme and those on the Financial accounting stream for the ACA qualification. The College will meet the full cost of relevant training courses, exam fees, etc. (assuming first time passes). A generous study leave package is provided.

Salaries will escalate throughout the three years via a combination of annual pay increments and pay increases linked to exam success.
