Invesco is proud to be a part of the Investment 2020 initiative, and we are delighted to invite you to apply for a 12 month placement with us, starting on 20th September 2021. Our culture of collaboration and inclusion makes Invesco a great place to work and reflects the broad diversity of thought across our organisation. We offer entry level work experiences that will inspire and challenge you!

Have you always had an interest in Investments and want to get a foot in the door? We’ve got just the role for you to get some amazing experience, working within our high-performing European Equities team.

You’ll be researching, monitoring and conducting financial analysis of current or potential European denominated assets, under the supervision of one of our leading Fund Managers, as well as gaining an understanding of the various domestic and international factors affecting the European Equities market using data from Company meetings, stockbrokers, analysts and other published information. You’ll help contribute to the investment decision-making process, building up your knowledge of companies and sectors and you’ll learn about the various technical elements of the European stock market.

Sound exciting? You’ll need some strong numeracy skills for this one, and some knowledge of economics, preferably acquired from your degree. A clear interest in the investment management industry and some experience with Excel as a data manipulation tool would also be useful. We’re looking for people with genuine intellectual curiosity and the ability to learn, as well as the capability to work both independently and as part of our diverse and successful team.

How to Apply

Whilst a CV is important, we’d like to get to know you as more than just a name on a piece of paper. In addition to your CV, we’d like you to address a few questions that are important to us in a Word or PDF document:

  1. What interests you about Investments (and specifically, Equities)?
  2. What current economic factors do you think are having the most impact on European markets?
  3. Tell us about a particularly challenging situation you’ve faced personally and what you’ve learnt from this
  4. What would you like to achieve in your career and how can this placement help you get there?
  5. What has your work experience and/or education taught you so far about yourself?
  6. What is your proudest achievement?

This is a great opportunity for you to shine and to help us better understand your motivations! Unfortunately, we will not be able to consider your application without this submission.
