Invesco is driven by a pure focus on investment. It’s all we do. We focus on doing work that matters and being a firm that gives a voice to every employee. In fact, we make a promise to our clients and each other to create greater possibilities together. We’re looking for people who have new perspectives. Who can come together to share ideas, listen and challenge each other to achieve better solutions for our clients.

Your team

Invesco’s Global Thought Leadership (GTL) function is dedicated to helping clients understand and navigate an exciting new world of possibilities by producing distinctive, timely, best-in-class thought leadership content. This position will focus on working with the Global Market Strategy Office, Invesco’s team of experienced market strategists who develop and convey key market insights to Invesco’s clients

Your role

Do you have a passion for research and understanding the impact of macro/market conditions on the investment markets? This internship will give you some phenomenal exposure to the creation and distribution of best-in-class thought leadership content in written, video and live presentation formats. You’ll support the Global Market Strategy team in the production and distribution of regular market and investment commentary, as well as assisting with research and writing relating to the production of macro/market outlooks, white papers and other thought leadership content. You’ll collaborate closely with investment team members, Marketing, Distribution and Sales teams across the globe to design and implement detailed client engagement plans for content across multiple internal and external channels.

Sound exciting? You’ll need a degree with a strong analytical basis, and you’ll love using your research skills to produce innovative and thoughtful ideas. You’ll also have a curiosity about economics and outstanding writing and editing skills. We’re looking for someone with an appetite to learn and a willingness to embrace new and different subject matter areas and projects as this role and the global thought leadership programme generally continue to expand.

How to Apply

Whilst a CV is important, we’d like to get to know you as more than just a name on a piece of paper. In addition to your CV, we’d like you to address a few questions that are important to us in a Word or PDF document:

  1. What interests you about a career in investment management?
  2. What do you see as your key skillset and why is that applicable to this internship?
  3. Introduce us to a topic you know about and tell us why it interests you.
  4. The world will look different coming out of the COVID-19 health crisis. Pick something (anything) that you think has changed as a result of COVID-19 and explain how the change will impact economics and society.
  5. What economic themes do you see powering the post-pandemic economic cycle?

This is a great opportunity for you to shine and to help us better understand your motivations! Unfortunately, we will not be able to consider your application without this submission.

The closing date for applications is Sunday 28th November 2021
