Your team

The Global ESG team is responsible for leveraging best practices in ESG capabilities across our firm including ESG integration, research, proxy voting and engagement, supporting the distribution team with client engagement, and advising the product teams on ESG innovation. It’s a diverse team, with many different backgrounds and perspectives: something we feel sets us apart.

Your role

Do you have an interest in the investment management industry?   We’re offering an opportunity for you to get some outstanding experience, working within our renowned ESG team on a 4-week summer internship. 

You don’t have to be the President of the Investment Society and you don’t have to be studying economics or finance – all we’re asking for is an interest in the industry and its drivers, a thoughtful and inquisitive mindset and strong analytical skills, which could be gained from any degree stream.

During the internship, you will build your understanding of company and sector level ESG research and how it integrates with the investment process.  You could expect to be working on investment projects, research, analysis, modelling and shadowing team members to hone your understanding of ESG issues and trends.  We’ll also ask you to do some research on a topic of your choosing to communicate a specific ESG investment theme to internal stakeholders.

Sound interesting?  We’re looking for people who love learning and who have a diverse range of interests; people who can provide different perspectives and ideas.   You’ll enjoy research and be comfortable with numerical concepts, and you’ll love the chance to work both independently and as part of a supportive team, demonstrating your initiative and achievement focus. 

The internship is open to penultimate year undergraduate students from any subject area. 

The dates for the internship will be:

  • Monday 20th June – Friday 15th July 2022, OR
  • Monday 18th July – Friday 12th August 2022
