Make a difference every day!

Invesco is driven by a pure focus on investment. It’s all we do. We focus on doing work that matters and being a firm that gives a voice to every employee. In fact, we make a promise to our clients and each other to create greater possibilities together. We’re looking for people who have fresh perspectives. Who can come together to share ideas, listen and challenge each other to achieve better solutions for our clients.

Your team

The European Equities team’s range of investment strategies is designed to cater for varying investor preferences within the European equity space, capturing what the fund managers believe to be the best opportunities from across Europe. We allow fund managers the freedom to think for the long term in a culture of idea sharing, collaboration and debate. Different viewpoints are encouraged, which we think leads to better outcomes for investors. Through geographic, market cap and investment mandate nuances, all the funds provide diversification potential. It’s a diverse team, with many different backgrounds and perspectives: something we feel sets us apart.

Your role

Do you have an interest in the investment management industry?   We’re offering an opportunity for you to get some outstanding experience, working within our renowned European Equities team on a 4-week summer internship.

You don’t have to be the President of the Investment Society and you don’t have to be studying economics or finance – all we’re asking for is a keen interest in the industry and its drivers, a thoughtful and inquisitive mindset and strong analytical skills, which could be gained from any degree stream.

During the internship, you’ll get involved in company analysis, assessing potential investment opportunities and evaluating companies’ future prospects, with a view to considering whether or not to include them in the portfolio.  You’ll do some micro-analysis of stocks and you’ll get to present your analysis to the team.   You may even get the opportunity to attend meetings with sell-side analysts and management teams.

Sound interesting?  We’re looking for people who love learning and who have a diverse range of interests; people who can provide different perspectives and ideas.   You’ll enjoy research and you’ll be comfortable with numerical concepts.  You’ll also relish the chance to work both independently and as part of a supportive team, demonstrating your initiative and achievement focus.

The internship is open to undergraduate students from any subject area.

The dates for the internship will be:

  • Monday 20th June – Friday 15th July 2022, OR
  • Monday 18th July – Friday 12th August 2022
