This role requires an understanding of a manufacturing business environment, process and related IT systems.
Key responsibilities
To assist in the documentation of existing and to-be business processes, drafting detailed business requirements that can be implemented to support the business strategy and goals. Additionally, the Junior BA would be required:
- To engage with appropriate project stakeholders, develop and maintain their engagement at all stages of the requirements process
- Assisting the facilitation, interview and review meetings with key stakeholders
- To map ‘as-is’ and ‘to-be’ business processes
- To assist in the documentation of requirements and verification with key stakeholders to facilitate the successful implementation of the project
- To assist in the creation of new or work with pre-existing high-level requirement definitions, and the development of these into detailed solution documents for use by technical teams in an agile sprint delivery cycle (system configuration and/or development)
- To support the implementation of the above technical requirements – ensuring configuration, development, system testing and UAT deliver quality implementation which aligns with the original business objectives
Qualifications / essential skills
- Experience in assisting in requirement elicitation in an agile environment, working with project stakeholders and operations staff in gathering requirements (essential)
- Experience of working with Business process modelling (essential)
- An understanding of information flows and processes (essential)
- Knowledge and understanding of way of working within waterfall, agile and hybrid methodologies (essential)
- Experience of assisting in developing requirements that span multi systems e.g. human resource, enterprise resource planning, finance, manufacturing, web systems etc. (essential)
- Experience of assisting in undertaking business analysis work in an agile manner and developing information into concisely documented requirements (essential)
- Experience in translating requirements into UAT scripts, assisting in the UAT process (essential)
- Experience of working with stakeholders crossing both business and IT work streams (essential)
- Experienced in using MS Office tools e.g. Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Visio, Confluence, JIRA (desirable)
