This will be a fixed term contract for 3 to 5 months you should be able to commence the position in June , interviews will be conducted at end of February with notification of successfully securing the internship by end of February/early March.

We are looking for driven candidates seeking to start their career and join us as a paid intern with the real prospect of a permanent Analyst position available at the end of the internship.  The Intern will work within the EMEA Health Economics Real-World Methods and Evidence Generation team and  will enhance their Health Economics skills, support our consulting projects with real clients and undertake their dissertation (if applicable).

To be considered you should be currently studying for (or recently completed) a MSc in Heath Economics or Economic evaluation or other relevant and related Health Economics qualification.

What you will do

  • Be assigned a client-based dissertation project based, where possible, or a thought leadership dissertation project (either an economic model, indirect comparison analysis or literature review).
  • Split your time between the dissertation project (60%) and supporting the team on other projects (40%) thus providing you with an opportunity to gain experience in a range of Health Economics offerings
  • Produce materials and services relating to the Health Economics Outcomes Research business areas (health economic modelling, evidence synthesis, statistical analysis, health technology assessment submissions, reports and publication development for value communication) that generate value for clients
  • Have the opportunity to liaise with clients directly and develop client communication & presentation skills, as part of a project team
  • Contribute to internal initiatives for the advancement of innovative methodological approaches
  • Work closely with a diverse range of peers, project managers and subject matter experts, both in the London office and offices across Europe

Who you are

  • You must be studying for (or recently completed) a postgraduate degree in Health Economics or Economic evaluation, or another relevant discipline
  • You have strong numeracy and quantitative skills as well as competency using MS Excel and/or statistical packages (e.g., R, SAS)
  • You are capable of tackling loosely defined problems analytically and applying pragmatic and logical problem-solving skills
  • You are a communicative person that values building strong relationships with colleagues and clients and have the ability to explain complex topics in simple terms and in a structured way, both spoken and written
  • You are eligible to work in the UK without visa sponsorship (note, student visas and the 2-year post graduate work visas are considered)
  • Must have a UK National Insurance number and UK bank account
  • Must be available for the 3 months (June to end of August) or 5 months internship (June to end of October)
  • Accommodation or relocation fees will not be covered/included
