About the role
Aniwell Veterinary Clinic is a 1st Opinion practice based in Bournemouth who are looking to support a New Graduate Small Animal Vet. They have 6 Vets (2 part time), 2 Head Nurses, 2 RVNs and 7 Student Nurses with certificate holders in Endoscopy and Surgery.
Normal hours will be a mix of early shifts (8:30am - 3pm) and late shifts (8:30am - 7pm). 1 in 4 weekends (Sat 8:30am - 4pm, Sun 10am-12pm). Bank holidays normally 10am-12pm on a rota system between all vets. On call for own inpatients if staying at the practice overnight (nurse checks, no-one on site, at your discretion if these patients are admitted - may choose to send to OOH provider if more appropriate for care)
Aniwell Veterinary Clinic is a wonderful practice located close to the beach and the Jurassic Coast. The practice has a lot of experience within the friendly and approachable team and are able to provide lots of support. The latest Graduate has stayed on after the academy and we really enjoyed supporting her development. The practice sees a wide range of cases, have lots of equipment and so work up a lot of cases in house. They work closely with our local referral practice (Southern Counties Veterinary Specialists). Client base is lovely and 15-minute consults. The Graduate will be assigned a mentor and will have regular meetings to discuss development and progress to hopefully become a decent well-rounded Vet. Certificates are encouraged later on. The practice has fantastic facilities and wonderful wellbeing initiatives.
