About the role

Delaware Veterinary Group is a 1st Opinion practice based in Yeovil who are looking to support a New Graduate Small Animal Vet.  They have 6 Vets (2 part time), 3 RVNs, 1 SVN, 2 VCA.  Within the team, there is 1 certificate holder in Small Animal Medicine.

Normal hours will be 8:30am to 6:30pm Monday to Friday and 8:30am to 1pm Saturday. They share out of hours provision with their other site giving a 1 in 10 Friday night and weekend on call rota (not Fri/Sat/Sun together) and one night on call (Mon-Thurs) every other week. Monday off after weekend on call is arranged.

Delaware Veterinary Group is a friendly and supportive practice with a wonderful team and great facilities and equipment such as 4 consulting rooms, prep room with separate theatre, separate cat and dog wards, digital x-ray, ultrasound and endoscopy.

The New Graduate will be supported by the whole team with the first step being to get to know the individual Graduate and then to find which areas they are comfortable with and which areas need more specific training and support. They will become part of the team and be fully supported in the direction they want to take their career whether that be towards specific interests or certificates.
