Jacobs has long term contracts with public and private sector clients with a stake in the Water Environment and we want to grow our team to meet the ever-increasing demand within this sector.  Our UK and Ireland team are delivering projects for our clients from concept stage through to construction and we are looking for enthusiastic, broad minded and flexible staff to join us.

Water is a natural asset that we need to manage sensitively.  Climate change is influencing the availability and quality of this natural asset and much of the work that we undertake for our Clients is finding innovative solutions to balance the human / business need, with the long-term environmental impact.

About the opportunity

Based in one of our UK or Ireland offices, you will join a respected and ambitious company with excellent career prospects both local and internationally. You will work as part of a diverse and highly skilled team of Water and Environmental Engineers, Modellers and Scientists, providing support and advice to a wide range of clients.

Our graduate programme offers you the chance to develop your technical, consultation and engineering skills alongside developing key business and leadership skills such as business development, people leadership, business management and digital. With dedicated leadership support and an agile approach to learning and developing we will help you develop your skills and follow your passions.

Here’s What You’ll Need

  • BEng/MEng in Civil Engineering, or similar
  • Flexibility to travel for work
  • A commitment to the pursuit of becoming a chartered professional and continuous professional development (CPD)
  • Demonstrated interest in working in the field of the water environment and desire to apply your skills to the challenges the water environment faces
  • Proven communication skills; both verbally and written
  • Ability to work well in a team
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
