Human Resources

Jaguar Land Rover's Human Resources function delivers everything the business needs to do with its people. From attraction and recruitment, through to offboarding and retirement. We provide the tools, processes and data to help the business deliver. The HR function itself is organised into three key pillars: HR Direct is our shared service team who offer advice to our employees on HR matters, Business Partnering Teams support the organisation to deliver their people strategy, and the Centres of Expertise are areas of deep competency in topics such as Reward, Employee Relations, and Organisation Design.

People Transformation Programme

This programme sits within the Organisation Design Centre of Expertise and focuses on delivering the roll out of Agile working practices, change management, and takes the lead on organisation design. This programme offers you the opportunity to be at the forefront of people transformation and includes high level exposure to a variety of key cross functional stakeholders.

You will support Scrum master activity, communications development and deployment linked to our People Transformation strategy, build Change management plans to support transformation, Business Analysis to generate key insights to inform our decision making, Project support, and working with colleagues and the business to deliver new Organisation Design projects. You will also explore opportunities for Agile Transformation across the business; work with key stakeholders to generate new ideas to engage the business and deploy People Transformation agenda across the pilot functions.

There will between 2-4 placements, dependant on business requirements at the time, with the aim of ensuring you become well-rounded in Change, Organisation Design, Agile, and Communications.

Process Optimisation Programme

The Process Optimisation Graduate Programme is focuses on driving the Employee Digital experience and HR efficiency through the optimisation of HR processes and the development of digital and automated solutions.

You will learn to support HR Process Optimisation activities including conducting process analysis on current processes, mapping the end-user journey to define the current employee experience, process and solution design to drive efficiency and employee experience, data design to ensure GDPR compliance, developing and implementing change activities such as training programmes, communication plans and stakeholder engagement.

This is your chance to develop an excellent employee digital experience and drive HR process optimisation through the use of digital/automation technology. Using the Agile methodology, you will learn to work at pace to deliver value to our stakeholders and respond to the changing needs of the business. You will gain exposure to all areas of HR and engage with teams (and end users) across the wider business. You will work alongside, and learn from, experts in their field with deep knowledge of their specialist areas.

Only by transforming the digital experience of our employees and creating efficient HR processes can we enable all teams, across the business, to focus on achieving their objectives and competitive advantage for Jaguar Land Rover. 

What’s required

Excellence runs throughout our entire business, and we expect you to be the same. You will have or expect to achieve a 2:2 degree or higher in any discipline however, we are particularly keen to receive applications from students with Business Studies or Human Resource Management; and UI/UX Design for the Optimization roles and Psychology or Sociology for the Transformation roles. But more important, is a passion for analytics and problem solving, the curiosity to understand a business problem and explore innovative solutions, the confidence to champion new initiatives, strong numerical skills and be an excellent communicator.
