Are you passionate about eCommerce and digital marketing? We are looking for an eCommerce Assistant to support our retail marketing and digital teams by managing online content, optimising product visibility, and enhancing the customer experience across our digital platforms. This role plays a key part in driving online engagement, improving website performance, and supporting sales growth.

Key responsibilities

eCommerce Management

  • Upload, update, and optimise product listings, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Manage product categorisation for seamless navigation and discoverability.
  • Monitor and enhance site search functionality.
  • Conduct regular website audits to improve merchandising, usability, and the overall customer journey.
  • Work closely with the eCommerce Manager to test and implement new website features.
  • Coordinate digital assets across teams to maintain a high-quality online presence.

Digital marketing support

  • Assist in developing and executing digital marketing strategies to boost traffic and engagement.
  • Plan, schedule, and manage social media campaigns to strengthen brand awareness.
  • Ensure website content aligns with SEO best practices to improve search rankings.
  • Support marketing initiatives by creating newsletters, generating discount codes, and managing promotional uploads.

General customer support

  • Maintain accurate product data on electronic labels and digital displays.
  • Assist customer service with online order queries, refunds, and issue resolution.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve eCommerce-related challenges to ensure smooth operations.

Skills, knowledge and expertise

  • Strong enthusiasm for eCommerce, retail, and digital technology.
  • Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new eCommerce tools and platforms.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Well-organised with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in IT, including Office 365, website CMS platforms, and social media.
  • Knowledge of SEO, PPC, social media marketing, and digital advertising.
  • Experience with eCommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento) is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with design tools (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Canva) and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) is beneficial.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS is a plus.
  • Previous experience in eCommerce, digital marketing, or online merchandising is preferred.
  • Completion of a course in eCommerce, digital marketing, or a related field is desirable but not essential.
