The role
As a Chemical Engineering Industrial Placement Student, you will help drive our goals by:
- Contribute to projects and development tasks involving leading technologies, ensuring adherence to JM health, safety, environmental, and quality procedures.
- Take responsibility for accurate calculations, datasheets, and drawings that define process engineering requirements.
- Develop Basic Engineering Packages, including heat and mass balances, process specifications, P&IDs, and process safety and hydraulic designs.
- Execute process engineering design activities to schedule and budget, supporting the business with quality technical advice for customers and suppliers.
Key skills that will help you succeed in this role
- Currently studying an IChemE-accredited MEng Chemical Engineering course with a placement year option.
- Passionate about applying chemical engineering to development, design, and operations in the chemical industry.
- Demonstrates strong safety awareness, adaptability, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.
- Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills.
