Audit Vacation Scheme 2022
Audit is the largest of KPMG UK's practices, providing independent challenge and delivering quality audits to organisations of all shapes and sizes. Audit requires a deep understanding of the company, their controls, processes and systems as well as their aims and the risks they face. Audit helps to assure stakeholders that published accounts are 'true and fair'.
Working in audit equips you with valuable technical skills, broad commercial understanding and in-depth knowledge of one or more industry sectors and business as a whole.
Audit Vacation Programme
Our four-week Audit Vacation Programme is your chance to work in a specific audit business area whilst gaining an insight into life at KPMG. The programme is designed to give you a breadth of skills and experience. Audit provides the core foundation knowledge to a successful career in business and can equip you with valuable technical skills, broad commercial understanding and in-depth knowledge of different industry sectors.
Live Our Values and embrace our quality-first culture, and we’ll give you what you need to take your career from success to success.
Plus, if you’re successful on the programme, you’ll have the opportunity to be considered for our Audit Graduate programme in the same office location starting in 2023.
We’re reimagining how we work at KPMG. Our firm is creating a tech-driven business to empower and equip our people to be outstanding in delivery – through inspiring workspaces, innovative ways to collaborate, and hybrid ways of working. On your vacation programme, you may work flexibly across your location region – at KPMG offices, engagement sites and from home.
Training and Development
As the vacation programme is not that long, the focus for you will be to ensure every second counts. Above all else, it’s about gaining experience on real-time, real-life projects. It's an opportunity to learn new skills, enhance your CV, learn about the world of work and, importantly, get your foot in the door of one of the leading professional services firms. And if you're inspired by the time you spend with us here, and go on to join us full-time once you’ve graduated, you’ll get access to exemplary training and development.
The training and development of our people is critical to the future success of our business. We want all of our trainees to embrace a growth mindset of learning every day, which is why we have created a rich curriculum and learning community to help trainees build their skills and fulfil their potential.
This ranges from an immersive 5-day induction experience, formal training courses, leadership knowledge bites, learning journals, online courses and networking events – all aligned to our life-long learning strategy and part of our overall student package. As part of your vacation programme, you will be introduced to this package and have the opportunity to experience some of the training and development curriculum and learning community.
Throughout the recruitment process we will be looking to learn more about your strengths.
To be successful on this programme, you will be required to demonstrate the strengths that we look for at KPMG.
As a general rule, you’ll be expected to meet the following requirements:
- Minimum grade 6 GCSE (*) Maths
- Minimum grade 6 GCSE (*) English Language
- Minimum of 120 UCAS points under the 2017 tariff point system at A Level
- On track to achieve a 2:1 degree in any discipline and currently in your penultimate year at university
Please note, we only consider a candidate's 'top' 3 A Level grades and do not accept General Studies.
At KPMG, we look at more than just your academic results. We will review your application, together with your performance in our assessments, to ensure that you have the best opportunity to demonstrate your potential. We will be considering your strengths and achievements against KPMG’s capabilities alongside a number of other metrics, including technical background and/or experience, to ensure that you have the skills to succeed at KPMG.
