About the role
We are looking for Graduate Systems Engineers to join our Engineering team working on a variety of Cyber Security or Electronic Warfare projects. Reporting to one of our Systems Engineering Leads, you will take a role in the Systems Engineering activities for key engineering development programmes working as part of a team of cross-functional engineers.
Responsibilities of the role
- Contribute to the development of complex Cyber Security or Electronic Warfare Systems
- Contribute to the generation of technical proposals, bids and presentations.
- Develop design solutions liaising closely with Software, Electronic design and Mechanical design teams.
- Supporting the test and qualification strategy for solutions and sub-systems through writing and running system tests.
- Opportunities to participate in trials, customer demonstrations and onsite acceptance testing in a range of countries worldwide.
Experience & Skills
- A degree in Systems Engineering (or other relevant STEM subject) with a grade of at least a 2:1 or an equivalent qualification and experience (e.g. Apprenticeship)
- A passion for technology and problem solving
- The ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders including hardware or software engineers, project managers and external customers.
- The ability to document design solutions clearly and concisely for understanding by technical and non-technical audiences.
- Excellent IT skills in all standard Microsoft Office applications and some experience of Software development (e.g. Python, C, C++, Java)
- An understanding of Systems Engineering development lifecycles and a basic understanding of key aspects of Systems Engineering such as Requirements, Archtiectural design, Integration and/or Verification.
- Some knowledge of electronic design is desirable, preferably including aspects of RF systems (e.g. Communications, Radar or Electronic Warfare).
