Are you a natural problem-solver who thinks strategically and can challenge assumptions? Do you look for innovative ways of doing things and encourage others to do the same? Using intelligence and data-led risk management tools to prevent fraud and financial crime, and working on risk strategies for our products, you’ll build your leadership skills and knowledge. You’ll help our business to make the right decisions for our customers across the UK.

What you'll learn on the risk management graduate scheme

Over two years, you’ll complete three eight-month placements in different locations. Working in a variety of areas, you’ll develop your strengths and evolve your career through financial and non-financial risk management roles. You’ll discover how our teams assess and analyse threats using robotics and cognitive computing, and how they deal with the risks that directly affect our frontline divisions. And, you’ll gain the skills to help us transform policy – so that the way we safe-guard our organisation also helps protect our customers.

As well as offering a broad foundation for your career, this graduate scheme can help you decide where you’d like to specialise.

The work you could be doing

• Developing your understanding of credit risk, risk analysis and financial modelling
• Using artificial intelligence to simplify our risk management processes
• Analysing risks within the financial markets
• Creating bespoke customer strategies to help our commercial clients
• Supporting our fraud and financial crime prevention work on strategies to assess emerging risks

What you need to apply

A 2:2 degree or above in any discipline from any university.

Locations

Our graduate schemes are rotational, and our Risk Management roles are based in various cities around the UK, including London, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Leeds, Halifax and Bristol.
