Your responsibilities

Due Diligence is a fast growing global offering and provides an exciting, fast-paced work environment. This role would suit School Leavers / Graduate-level candidates seeking their first role in the industry. This team continues to grow and develop, so there will always be scope for progression, which will be based upon the performance and motivation of the successful candidate.

The team works on transactions across all industry types from sports to renewable energy to major consumer brands providing a high level of exposure to different types of insurance and transactions which will enable you to build your insurance knowledge quickly with full assistance, support and training provided to you by the wider team. The role also provides the opportunity to build a strong internal profile within Lockton due to exposure to our internal specialist practices and senior individuals who assist us on projects.

The Insurance Due Diligence practice acts as a key transaction advisor to Private Equity firms, trade buyers, Lockton’s own corporate clients and lenders when they are looking to acquire, sell or deploy debt into businesses. The practice provides a detailed view of the risk & insurance implications on transactions on behalf of its clients.

Some key responsibilities include

  • Producing due diligence reports on insurance terms to a high standard in line with guidance.
  • Agreeing non-disclosure agreements and hold harmless letters, according to template guidance.
  • Assisting with project management and running transactions.
  • Ensuring all projects are completed in accordance with internal compliance frameworks.
  • Developing a network of contacts in the Private Equity, Legal and Corporate Finance communities.
  • Study of the Charted Institute of Insurance professional qualifications will be mandatory and supported.
