An excellent opportunity is available to join our expanding Building Performance Modelling team, in either Edinburgh or Bristol, specialising in Energy and Thermal modelling. The team works collaboratively with our wider building services teams to develop energy and thermal strategies, enabling us to deliver world-class sustainable buildings.

This engineering position specialises in the use of Integrated Environmental Solutions (IES) Virtual Environmental (VE) modelling software, and involves carrying out domestic and non-domestic modelling for:

  • UK Building Regulations energy assessments
  • Operational energy assessments
  • Overheating assessments
  • Natural ventilation modelling
  • Daylight modelling
  • BREEAM modelling
  • NABERS modelling

Some experience in this type of modelling and an understanding of mechanical engineering design is desirable for the role, but not essential. Similarly, a Low Carbon Energy Assessor qualification would be an ideal asset.

The role involves collaborating with the wider design team to develop building modelling, engaging with them to work within project constraints. This is in addition to supporting our project engineers by giving guidance on modelling requirements, advising on sensible approaches whilst being able to confidently interrogate project briefs.

Training and support of the extended group of engineers delivering modelling is planned to be delivered from the central Building Performance Modelling team and will form part of this role.

If you have the skills we are looking for, we would love to hear from you.
