Merkle are a global digital marketing agency, providing best in class Paid Search (PPC), Paid Social and Programmatic (Display) for some of the biggest and best advertisers in the UK such as Hilton, Burberry and Tesco.

We’re looking for 10 logical thinking, passionate and talented graduates to take their first step in the world of digital marketing. We’ve got roles open in each of our marketing channels, and provide comprehensive training to ensure you become experts in your chosen field. Following training, you’ll rapidly build a portfolio of clients that vary by size and industry, helping them meet their business goals, coming up with new and exciting strategies and reporting performance back to your client contacts.

Job description

We’ve got opportunities available in the following teams:

  • Programmatic (Display)
    • Programmatic Display uses intellectual technology platforms to efficiently place video, audio and visual adverts online across hundreds of publishers around the web, including sites like The Guardian, YouTube or even platforms like Spotify.
    • The day to day involves: Creating and implementing campaigns, managing budgets, analysis of performance, reporting to clients through email, phone and presentation formats, and working with partners to ensure your client is at the forefront of innovation.
  • Paid Social
    • Paid Social sees advertisers targeting relevant audiences across platforms like Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok and Snapchat with engaging ad formats.
    • The day-to-day involves: Identifying the right platform for your client, implementing campaigns, measuring performance and budget, working with clients to report results and keeping them at the forefront of the market through new innovative ideas.
  • Paid Search (PPC)
    • Paid search involves advertising in the sponsored listings of search engines such as Google and Amazon. Each time a user searches and clicks an ad, the advertiser pays the search engine, meaning the advertiser gets their ads in front of the right people, at the right time.
    • The day-to-day involves: Doing keyword research, writing ad copy, managing budgets, performing analysis of results, presenting results back to clients via email, phone and in person, as coming up with new exciting growth opportunities with partners such as Google, Microsoft and Amazon.

The interview process

  • Application – When you apply you will be asked a couple of questions to showcase your passion in Digital Marketing. If there’s a particular area of marketing from the available opportunities that interests you, feel free to flag it here!
  • Phone Interview – If your application is successful, you will be asked to complete a 15-minute phone interview with one of our recruiters and a member of the hiring team, who can answer any questions you have about the role or process. Following these stages, we’ll work to identify the channel that we think best suits your skillset.
  • Assessment Centre – Hosted in our London office (date tbc), consisting of a structured interview, short individual presentation, as well as a group exercise.

  • Passion for a career in digital marketing, and the desire to become an expert through training.
  • Strong logic, reasoning and data analysis skills.
  • The ability to work autonomously but also as part of a wider team.
  • A keen eye for detail and strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • The right to live and work in the UK.
